From the Principal

Dear families

What a enjoyable day we had at the Telegraph Station last Friday for our Cross Country. Everyone had a great time, in a beautiful location with typically incredible weather. Thanks to the families who joined us for all or part of the day. Check out some of the photos from the day below.

Today our staff had a day of learning. We spent the day working on analysing this year’s NAPLAN and School Survey results as well as continuing to develop our instructional model to continue to consistently prioritise high-impact instructional practices. We will include information in next fortnight’s newsletter with a summary of our NAPLAN achievement and the feedback you have provided us through the School Survey.

We have been working closely with our primary schools all year to help prepare the Year 6s to confidently make the jump to secondary school. This has included bringing them across for multiple visits for lessons and events. It is now time to start collecting enrolments for 2019 and we will be distributing forms via the primary schools. We also have two tours and information sessions coming up – both on Thursday 20th September. One session will be during the day at 8.30am and the second will be after hours at 7.00pm. These sessions are aimed at families who are considering the school for 2019 so please pass on information about the event to others who may be interested.

That Sugar Film – Notification

As part of the Health and PE curriculum Year 8 students are learning about nutrition this term.

To enhance their study of nutrition all Year 8 students will be watching ‘That Sugar Film’.

The film is classified as PG and explores the effects of a high sugar diet.

CMS Vaccination

Vaccination for students in years 7 and 8 will be taking place on Wednesday, 12th September. If you have not received consent forms for your child please contact Kathryn Howitt on 8955 2314 as soon as possible or download and print the PDF form below.

Our clubs are looking for players male & female, junior’s u10, u12, u14, u16, u19 and seniors to join them for the new season which commenced Saturday 8th September.

Aussie Hoops is also available for 5 – 10 year olds.
